About the pendants
Yes, all pendants automatically come in a lovely organza gift bag. They’re either brown or green – I choose whichever fits best with your pendant.
(The more delicate carved animal pendants come in a little box, just to be sure! )
The organza gift bags have a small label attached to them, to which you write a few words when you receive your pendant.
If it is a gift you are ordering which will be directly shipped to the lucky person receiving it, I can add a personalised note. Please specify this with your order.
Necklaces are included in your pendant purchase. They come as pictured with the item. Currently I have leather or suede leather necklaces with lobster clasps. Some more exclusive pendants feature brass or stainless steel chains with or without beads.
Custom orders come with your choice of bail and necklaces. This will be discussed with your order.
(I am working on stepping away from leather and making high quality metals or stainless steel with or without beads the norm.)
All of my pendants are made from sustainable wood and are considered fashion jewelry. They are not intended to shower, swim or exercise with, so keep them away from water. Exposure to water won’t necessarily break the pendant, but it will damage the protective finishing. And we all know how wood reacts to water…
Leaving your pendant out in direct sunlight will make the burning fade real fast. Try to keep them out of the sun.
Purchased items come with a little note that includes these care instructions.
Feel free to contact me in case something happens to your pendant.
For lidded pots or other artwork made by me goes the same; leaving them out in direct sunlight will make the burning fade real fast. So when you display an item in your house, put/hang them somewhere in the shade, where they don’t receive direct sunlight. Oh, and my keepsakes aren’t meant to be kept outside.
What? Not happy? Impossible! Jokes aside, I do not offer refunds on custom orders, as they are made to order, to your liking. During the process of making your custom order, there is plenty of time to discuss designs, or for you to speak up if there is an issue you’d like to see addressed or changed. And please, do speak up! I won’t be offended, promise!
I do accept returns on non-custom purchases. Contact me within 14 days of delivery. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
About Shipping
Pendants are sent in a bubble wrap envelope as normal letter mail. They are sent with Priority mail, without tracking. This is why I can offer free shipping.
Generally put, for Europe it takes about a week. For the US/Canada it could take up to 4 weeks.
I’ve had packages arrive within a week to the US, and I’ve had packages take 6 weeks. I don’t think I’ll ever understand how the mail works 😉 but when ordering and to avoid disappointment, just make sure you leave ample time for delivery.
Custom orders can be sent with tracking. This can be discussed with your order. However, it doesn’t mean that your package will arrive quicker. It does guarantee delivery, though!
I’ve sent over 500 pendants to date, all over the world and I’m happy and proud to report I have not lost a single package yet!
It’s been slightly more difficult since the global pandemic, and I as well as my customers have had to be a bit more patient with the postal service, but that is understandable. It’s picking up again..
If your pendant truly doesn’t arrive, email me and we can discuss a replacement or refund.
Little pots and larger items will be sent in a box. Unfortunately I cannot offer free shipping on packages like those.
(To get an indication of postage, to send a small box with a lidded jar, it’s about 15-20 euros to Europe, and 25 USD to the US.)
Shipping outside of the EU requires a CN22 Custom’s declaration form (sticker) to be attached to your package. It will mark the actual value.
Please check your country’s import regulations and whether you’re subjected to import tax (For the US I believe import tax is required for items over 200$).
I am not responsible for any extra costs/taxes your country charges upon import.
I’ve had it happen twice (in 500+ pendants I have made), that a pendant arrived broken. Both times, it was a custom order, and it was due to a flaw in the pendant design. I of course made a new one, free of charge.
All of my pendants are sturdy wood. The arrowheads, the hearts, the Auroras, etc … They won’t break, and they will definitely survive shipping.
About me and my work
Simply put; nature. I love trees and wildlife and I love creating anything with natural scenes, little plants or animals.
When I lack inspiration, all I have to do is go for a walk in the forest!
Wonderful! I’d love to brainstorm with you. Feel free to email me or contact me through Facebook or Instagram!
No 🙂 I get this question a lot, and I have on occasion made an exception and done an animal portrait, but I’m sorry, I do not specialise in portraits of humans or animals.
Yes. I love nature photography, I almost always take my camera with me during my nature walks. I also enjoy drawing, in graphite or ink.
Yes, I was finally diagnosed in 2019 with AS (Ankylosing Spondylitis / newer name is Axial Spondyloarthitis).
It is a form of inflammatory arthritis that centers around the spine and/or pelvis. The reason I mention it here is not because I want sympathy, but because it directly affects my work and my ability to produce.
In my case, AS mainly affects my back, hips and shoulders (and sometimes other joints). So, it’s not in my hands, but it does make woodworking and pyrography a challenge. The disease comes with flare ups, periods of more pain, chronic fatigue, etc … Google more if you like.
I am immensely grateful my customers are very understanding about this and allow me to take my time with their (custom) orders.
(Sometimes I mention it, mostly I don’t, but I am perfectly okay and open to talk about it and raise awareness. So if you have any question, please ask.)
About my work (tools)
I have two Razertip burners, a Razertip SK single pen burner, and a Razertip SS-D10 for two pens. And I have about ten different pens.
I work with a magnifying lamp, and a Razertip ball point tip pen (0.4mm). It also helps that I have a very steady hand!
Depending on how intricate the design is, it can take me up to 6 hours to burn one pendant.
I carve them with help of a Dremel. It’s a rotary tool with carving and sanding bits. Click this link to watch me make a pendant!
It can take me up to two hours to carve a heart or arrowhead from start to finish. Book pendants take me about 45 minutes.
The animal pendants I carve are much more intricate and can take up to 10 hours!
Each pendant requires a LOT of hand sanding! A job that cannot be rushed!
I have a mini lathe, with which I make my pots. The lathe is so small, that the maximum diameter of the pots is about 3 cm.
(My lathe recently broke and I decided to stop making them.)
