Fox Aurora Arrowhead Pendant

Material: Spalted birch. Carved in such a way to mimic the flaked texture of knapped stone, evoking the craftsmanship of ancient warriors who once shaped their arrowheads from flint.

Size: approximately 6 x 4 cm / 2 x 1  1/4 inch

Pyrography: This arrowhead pendant features a fox on a cliff watching the dancing Northern Lights.

Finish: Tung oil finish, which really brings out the color of the wood, and leaves a matte surface. It is non-toxic. No stain or dye has been used to color the wood.

Necklace: a black leather necklace with a lobster clasp fitting and has an adjustable length of 52 to 57 cm  /  20 to 22 inches.

About my Arrowheads

I’ve always been drawn to the shape of arrowheads; their quiet strength, their sense of direction and purpose. To me, they hold the memory of ancient paths and the wisdom of those who walked them. My arrowheads grew from that feeling also: each pendant shaped and burned with a spirit animal that speaks of freedom, courage, and connection to the wild.

The bald eagle, though not native to the Nordics, carries an energy that belongs here too; a symbol of vision and strength, of finding stillness high above the noise.

Made for both men and women who feel attuned to the wild within and around them, these pendants are meant to be worn close, as quiet reminders to stay grounded, yet never stop reaching for the sky.

About the Fox Spirit and the Northern Lights

In Finnish folklore, the Northern Lights are called revontulet. It comes from the word repo, meaning fox, and tuli, meaning fire. Revontulet literally translates into the Fox’s Fires.

The old stories tell of a magical Fox, playfully running through the snowy lands at night. As its tail brushes against the hills and treetops, sparks rise up into the sky, igniting the dancing lights above; the Northern Lights; the Fox’s Fire.

The Fox is a liminal spirit in northern myth; clever, watchful, and quietly powerful, moving between worlds, between forest and sky, earth and flame. This rectangular pendant, made from Finnish birch burl, is inspired by this quiet winter tale of the Northern Lights. It carries the fox as a creator of the Northern Lights, and as a guardian of twilight: a reminder of quiet strength, hidden wisdom, and the fire that glows even in the darkest night.
