Bear Mother

Material: Birch wood. Carved in such a way to mimic the flaked texture of knapped stone, evoking the craftsmanship of ancient warriors who once shaped their arrowheads from flint.

Size: approximately 5 x 3 cm / 2 x 1  1/4 inch

Pyrography: This arrowhead pendant features a bear at a lakeshore, a forest background with a mountain range in the far distance.

Finish: Bear Mother has a natural Tung oil finish, which really brings out the color of the wood, and leaves a matte surface. It is non-toxic. No stain or dye has been used to color the wood.

Necklace: Bear Mother comes with a black leather necklace with a lobster clasp fitting and has an adjustable length of 51 to 56 cm  /  20 to 22 inches.

Bear Mother

In the hush between heartbeat and breath, the bear stirs. She is the guardian of deep places, where dreams hibernate and bones remember. Wrapped in silence and strength, she teaches you to stand tall, to protect what matters, and to retreat when the time for healing has come.

A symbol of strength, protection, and introspection. Native peoples regard the bear as a guardian and healer, deeply connected to the cycles of the earth. In Norse traditions, berserkers were warriors who drew on the bear’s spirit to enter battle in a trance-like fury.

The Northern Spirits – series

Born from the silence of Finland’s forests, this series honors the wild guardians of the North; creatures who walk between myth and memory.

Each pendant is a talisman, carved and burned by hand, capturing the essence of Bear, Wolf, Moose, Eagle, Bison, and Bull Elk. Spirit animals known for their strength, wisdom, and connection to the wilderness, drawn from Nordic, Native, and wild American lore. They are protectors, messengers, and symbols of inner strength. These pendants are made from Finnish birch wood, etched by fire, and infused with the quiet soul of the forest that surrounds me. A tribute to the deep bond between nature and spirit. Crafted for those who still feel the wild within and meant to be worn close to the heart.

I’ve always been drawn to the shape of arrowheads and the shimmer of old stories: echoes of Native lore and northern forest stillness. This series came to life around spirit animals that feel at home both in American legend and the Nordic wilds. Each one was carved and burned with quiet presence. These pieces are made to be worn by anyone – men and women alike – who feel a connection to the wild. My hope is that when you wear one, you’ll feel rooted… and maybe even a little more seen.
