The Fox’s Dream |
So here it is; my latest dreamy wood burned artwork. I call it “The Fox’s Dream”.
The Fox’s Dream is hand-burned on locally sourced birch wood and measures 18x31cm. It was a labor of love, as it took me probably close to 70 hours – just like the previous Wolf and Raven.

I very much enjoyed creating The Fox’s Dream! The Fox has the intended kind and curious expression, with the Milky Way reflecting in his eye, as if he is contemplating the beauty of the universe!
What I love about this piece is the unique shimmer of The Milky Way. This was the result of a branch growing in that particular spot, altering the wood grain, creating a unique chatoyant texture!
Additionally, I’m super pleased with how the woodland below turned out. I spent a lot of time adding great detail to the gnarly oak and its surrounding shrubs and pond. You can just tell that the sleeping fox is completely comfortable there, likely dreaming of the magical forest and the Milky Way!
